This film was enjoyable but not particularly super scary. The first half was scarier than the second. Surprisingly, there was absolutely no gore in this film, not even a flying limb. The practical effects were delightful to see; it's nice not just to have a CGI mess everywhere. One example is the costume of the bear, which was pretty epic, although the bug eyes on the humans looked goofy.

This was a fantastic watch, and I was entertained throughout the entire movie. This dark gothic romance is just my cup of tea, with all its glorious gore, and dark humour.
