the love and passion for the craft is so evident all throughout this movie, phil tippett’s magnum opus clearly and good on him for that. however this just simply isn’t for me; im not too big a fan of exceedingly conceptual movies that aim to “hold up a mirror to humanity” and leave it to us the audience to interpret because more often than not it ends up super dark, gory, disgusting or overall depressing or in mad god’s case all four. and thats not my cup of tea simply put.
