Bresson's first film, a short absurdist comedy. Among Bresson's many virtues as a filmmaker, a rich sense of humor isn't really the first (or second or third or fourth or, etc.) thing anyone would associate him with, but this is pretty funny! Someone more flexible than me would have to take a stab at tying this, aesthetically and thematically, to the filmmaker he would become. I was very lucky to see Joe Pera perform in Great Falls just a couple of months ago, so I'm glad the material he used wound up in a special so I can relive it as much as I want now.
