Wow, what a ride! I don't even know how to review this movie, but it was funny, creative, thought-provoking and had me engaged the entire way through.

Shaun of the Dead 2004
This is the quintessential zom-com. I've seen it dozens of times and still notice funny details I missed before, the writing is so good! And the way they work the big musical tracks into the scenes so naturally, I mean this is really a showcase of film-making perfection.

The Fifth Element 1997
For a late 90s sci-fi film it holds up surprisingly well. The set and costume design carries through in a great way and the characters have some fantastic lines. It doesn't try to be edgy like so many modern sci-fi movies, it tries to be fun and is exceedingly good at it. Kind of like the OG Star Wars or Total Recall.
