Promising Young Woman 2020
Holy mama did not expect that ending. Watched this in my apartment alone and didn’t know anything about it and really wanted to make popcorn and watch a movie but then lost the urge (for popcorn) because it’s a little bone chilling. It’s visually stunning, Carey Mulligan is great.

Ok. I think I need a director’s cut of this? I like the premise a lot and it was very fucking funny but the story felt disjointed? Like there were plot points missing, specifically around Hazel’s character, the boys on the football team, the old babysitter…I was confused as to some of the character choices and the ending because I felt like I was missing information. Ayo Edebiri and Rachel Sennott are very funny and hot. It’s still good queer cinema and truly hilarious, watch it if you’re gay.
