I cannot understate how unbelievably fucking good this movie is. I'm a lifelong Godzilla fan and to finally see a movie with the perfect balance of the human aspect and the monster aspect makes this easily my favorite Godzilla movie ever. The atomic breath scene genuinely felt apocalyptic in a way I can't properly describe in words alone. Please watch this ASAP, it's absolute peak.
Damn good movie for a multitude of reasons but ultimately it doesn't really feel special to the Joker in particular, and I get his whole point is that "anyone can become like him" but several characters in the comics have proven he's wrong about that and knowing that it makes it a little bit difficult to justify why this is a Joker movie and not just a movie about Arthur Fleck. That said, Joaquin Phoenix's performance is fucking amazing and is absolutely the best part of this movie.
Plus he said the funny haha society line. 229,332/10.
Unironically probably Christopher Nolan's best work. The scene of the Trinity test had me in complete awe. (Seeing this in IMAX undoubtedly helped with that lmao.) It can be a little bit confusing plot-wise but the last bits of the movie does a good job of laying out everything for the audience so if you're confused for most of the movie like I was, it all sort of clicks together at the end in a beautiful way.
I've been a fan of this series since the second game and I can definitely say this movie is made for the fans. That has the cost of general audiences being turned off from it, and I understand why anyone looking in without context to the series would think this movie is garbage, but I think that sacrifice was worth it because I absolutely loved just about every aspect of this movie.
