yawn! what a drag and what shit! maybe it would have been passable some 40 years ago.
make up your mind if you want to be a good b-movie or an artsy fartsy body horror film.
also violates the basic rules of a good sci-fi story. no clear rules and breaks them whenever convenient.
In retrospect:
weak in form and content.
form attempts to historicize but fails. the disjunctive form jumps and hopes to invoke a presentist attack but fails to invoke anything except liberal humanist pathos and "calling-out" hypocrisy because there is something wrong at core of the formal arrangement and the content therein.
Ray is right in a sense, for all its French avant-garde-ness the film is all too Indian.
