    I watched this while I was visiting my boys in Norway. It was a family affair to go out for movie, I rewatched the part one to brush up my memory a day before.

    A great storyline and great cinematography (needless to say), it was as enjoyable as the part one.

    Missed to watch this film in Japan last month. After reading about it on editor’s column in Nikkei morning paper, this was on my must-watch list.

    You can tell a good film by the first shot. We can sense classic film feel on 2x3 aspect ratio (TIFF played a director’s interview pre show), low position, on floor level point of view of Hirayama’s tatami bedroom remind of Ozu’s camera position.
