Arizona Dream 1993
like a trip you’re coming down from. Lots of underlying imagery displayed in this film that drags you into your interpretations for what it really stands for. I get Axel trying to fulfill a dream that just isn’t ideal for him with Elaine. But Grace and her turtles almost symbolize that the dream that’s better suited for him takes longer time, and has greater struggle to pursue (her suicidal tendencies). His cousin Paul almost alludes to his subconscious, trying to keep him in reality. Type of movie I’ll watch again just to take notes.
