I didn't know much about his life, and I know this is probably an exaggeration, but it was an absolute delight to watch!!! the costumes were absolutely amazing and i cant get over the performances!!

The Watermelon Woman 1996
REALLY well done. I was actually shocked that this wasn’t about a real person in film history. But it was very effective in the way that it makes me want to learn more about the history of black and queer people in cinema. For this being her first feature film, this was extremely good and I would definitely watch it again.

The Shining 1980
definitely fits the definition of classic horror. it doesn’t rely on jump scares, but instead on the tension it builds over time. if you haven’t seen it, I seriously recommend it. I would also read the book though, as the movie focuses on this family rather than the hotel and it’s supernatural elements. overall a very good watch!
