  With stunning camera work and long, unbroken shots, it feels like you’re right there with the characters. The minimal cuts add to the realism, making every moment more intense. Even at two hours, it never drags, which definitely is an achievement.

  However, I suppose it doesn’t stand out much from other war films.

  Being half Polish, this film really resonated with me. Like returning to one’s roots through travel, a journey that also helped both characters grow as individuals. Themes of relationships and life as a whole. And hearing Chopin made it even more beautiful.
