  The fact that I have not stopped thinking about this movie since I saw it three days ago, confirms there's something special about it. For now, I consider it a slightly flawed gem.
  That flaw - to me - lies in its characters. I had the feeling there was a lot more to say about them. Especially Saw Gerrera and his relationship with Jyn. There might have been some material here that was left on the cutting room floor, but…

  Pleasantly surprised, I was. A great throwback to the original film. Don't know where all the hate is coming from. Don't expect anything too sophisticated plot wise, but what's there is very entertaining. Check brain at the door and enjoy the madness.

  It may never reach soaring heights like the Lord of the Rings did, but is most certainly a worthy addition to the Middle-Earth as seen by Peter Jackson. He took the story and expanded upon it like I hoped he would. Things that were only briefly mentioned in the original novel have been completely fleshed out and add more background to an otherwise pretty straightforward story. The splendid prologue is a fine example of that.
