okiedokies! This was nothing like how i expected it to be! It was a lot more lighthearted in such a a serious universe or situation. If i wasnt in the theatre i wouldve cackled and gasped more loudly at certain areas. i think this movie utilizes the shock factor a lot and I loooooved Mickey 17’s voice. It’s almost childlike and naive which contrasted the brutality of his situation. also,,,, i am obsessed with mark ruffalo he plays the most insane characters HAHA
This is a very LOOSE RATING because I, in fact, fell asleep halfway through this movie and woke up to ABSOLUTE CHAOS. The characters? Beautiful. The setting? very eery and creepy. The jumpscares? Yes. Nosferatu? FUCKING WEIRD AND FREAKISH. It is def a cool movie, but this theme is just not for me.
Hello!!! So I really wanted to love this movie but I don’t really?? I just am not the target demographic. What I loved is how it portrayed the anxiety and emotions of a middle schooler. The loneliness, wanting to fit in, the loud anger in their mind, everything!!! The shots were artistic and lovely, I loved how they repeated the same shot but in a different time, or how they filmed a chaotic event happening in a peaceful background. Anywhoo, I learned a lot and this was eye-opening, but idk :)
What a crazy trip of a movie. This movie had limited dialogue, which meant it communicated with the audience mostly through expressions, movement, film transitions, and music (or the lack thereof). The audio... is an experience. You can see the creativity of everyone who took part in the making of this movie. I would recommend it to others who want a good ride/time while watching it with friends... or if you're a fan of palm trees! There are a lot of palm trees. My main takeaway was... that pretty girls should always smile <3
