  Seems like a really good short film concept that they attempted to stretch into a full length film. Would have had a much greater impact in a fifteen minute format.

  They never settle on what lesson they are trying to teach. Familial relationships? Conservation? Ugly duck? Sacrifice? Everything they try could work in a movie if done well but not when they are randomly jumped between and never fully payed off.
