Recently rewatched this and I'm glad I did.
This is a Spanish cinema classic, it's fun and thrilling yet has some very nice serious elements to it. Alex de la Iglesia shows us a satirical take on religion, capitalism and the media, the humour is great and never lets down or falls flat and the more serious scenes are shocking yet tasteful.

I firmly believe this is the greatest piece of cinema ever created, everything is on point, the acting, dialogue, photography, cinematography and the story all come together in a beautiful and unique experience. Andrei Tarkovsky is truly one of the greatest geniuses to have ever lived and this film stands as evidence of his mastery.
