I think the elements of a good movie were there but they really struggled to make the main storyline work. The villain seemed interesting at first but I feel like his motivations or reasons were not described enough. The star was cute. The songs were very forgettable.

Beauty and the Beast 1991
Truly a tale as old as time! I feel that the older I get I appreciate the film even more. The artistry, the soundtrack and story are truly one of the best Disney has ever created. I must say that this movie has one of the best villain songs ever. And I don't think I have ever been able to watch this film without shedding a tear during the beautifully sung "Tale as old as time" or the heartful dedication to Howard Ashman in the end credits of the film. This film is a gem and I am always happy to revisit this true classic.
