Ferrari 2023
Amazing movie! Not about racing much, mostly about messy family dynamics (cheating, lies, betrayal) of Enzo Ferrari. There were gasps, “oh my god”s, and laughs from the audience. This is not for kids, it’s a gruesome movie (one scene specifically reminded me of when Glenn died on the walking dead). The humor is funny in an unexpected funny way, not a purposeful joke like way.

This movie was not what I expected. It’s a film about racing, yes. But it’s more a film about real life. About the dynamics of a messy marriage. Enzo Ferrari was with his family for about 3/4ths of screen time. The actual racing only took up a quarter. Speaking of the actual race, it contains a very graphic scene that is reminiscent of when glen died in the walking dead. A lot of gore.
There were loud gasps, a lot of “oh my god!”’s through the film.
