Tropic Thunder 2008
Movie about making movies but funny haha. Yeah this is probably the wildest Hollywood spoof and best comedy that I’ve ever seen in my life, with a surprising level of depth when you consider everything it offers up. Never again will a film like this be produced and commercially released—it’s pop off cast ensures that it will forever remain a defiant product of its time and a classic, in every sense, for decades to come.

22 Jump Street 2014
A pretty great sequel, and plays with that very idea quite skillfully. There’s a few more twists in this one compared to the last that threw me for a loop. The budget bump was nice, but it’s all about the jokes here and 22’s are a lot funnier to me, especially Schmidt’s slam poetry run. Sad to hear that the final film was cancelled—it was legendary work. My name Jeff.
