  Another genius creation from the mind of Eastern European alien-esque Tommy Wiseau. The sound design, absolutely impeccable. All of it’s flaws feel perfectly intentional and it fills a hole in my heart.

  I’ve been thinking recently and I’ve decided I’m giving The Room (2003) 5 stars for passion. Tommy’s pure dedication to this movie shows absolute passion. Even if the movie has every flaw known to man it still took an insane amount of work to create. He wrote, directed, produced, starred, funded, marketed, and premiered this movie. That takes dedication. I think this is why it’s garnered the success it has, and you know what? It absolutely deserves it. Plus, cool shades.

  Another great Kubrick film. The beginning half during the training creates a fantastic sense of unease, fear, and empathy with tinges of comedy here and there to relieve the viewer a little. This first half comes to a close with a horrific, saddening scene. However, we don’t get the option to sit with this as we are thrown into battle where we experience more of this unease and begin to barely scratch the surface of the true damage of war.…
