The movie was good in the villain aspect. I feel it has what Hellboy had, bad writing but decent actors. The plot is rushed and the kid has a complete turn in emotion when he discovers his powers. It could have been a better movie if the characters had more reason to do what they did. Especially Brandon murdering anyone who just says "No" to him.
But it was an enjoyable movie in the aspect of being extreme and gory. Brandon was convoluted but enjoyable when intimidating people. I admit I would like to see more of him tearing shit up in an expanded universe.
