  "Announcing who you are to the world is pretty terrifying, because what if the world doesn't like you?"

  I don't think many films come close to feeling as personal as Love, Simon does to me. When I watch this, I feel 15 again, knee deep into discovering my own identity, leaving the local movie theatre and sobbing in my Dads car because I didn't understand why I couldn't just be normal.

  I think the reason why this show works so well, is the fact that it feels so undeniably real. Characters are allowed to be flawed, they are allowed to change, and allowed to be different. The topics discussed in the show are real issues that teenagers face, and they look like teenagers while doing it. As a viewer, I feel intimately connected with the characters lives, and choices, and it is quite heartbreaking to have to let them go.
