The Brutalist 2024
Cinematography was beautiful, cool shots and acting was great but I wanted to love this more. The history nerd in me came out and did some research after I felt feelings of shortcomings from this movie. To sum it up, it was a movie about architecture that doesn’t talk about architecture. It doesn’t feel like it gave a true glimpse into the lives of real architects, real people, who did emigrate to the U.S. from Europe and were brutalist architects with a background of Bauhaus.
