  Someone in the theater was watching YouTube videos with the sound on the entire movie, and I honestly don’t blame them.

  “I’m so insignificant I can’t even kill myself.” -Miles 

  I don’t know anything about wine stuff but I do know that Sideways is tender and quaint. A simple movie that is worth a watch, especially if you’re a fan of early aughts indie dramedies, or wine, I guess.

  Paul Giamatti does a great job as Miles, the down-and-out novelist/wine connoisseur, particularly in the end when confronted by his ex wife.

  
  The cinematography and editing leave something to be desired but it’s made up for by the grounded production design and charming script.
