  Finally got around to it. I feel like it’s been said before, but the first 20min of the film are experienced in a wildly different way if you’re Brazilian. Seeing how happy they were, knowing what would come. 
  Walter Salles is a master of showcasing pain and emotion in the littlest ways. He did a tremendous job with Central Station, and once again with I’m Still Here. Just know that he showed maybe 5% of what that family went through…

  I hate saying pieces of media are "important" or "necessary", but the discussions surrounding this topic and the way we see sex workers are so delicately tackled in this film that I am tempted to go against my own self-inflicted cringe. The experimental aspects of Wendy Morgan's work are truly breathtaking. Highly recommend watching it!
