When I left the theater, my first instinct was to say I hated it. Once my heart stopped pounding, I realized how brilliant it actually was. This is a two hour long panic attack to put it lightly. Sandler’s performance + the camera shots and movement really made the viewer feel the anxiety and stakes that Howard was in.
