  A very middling picture that soars when Rachel Zegler sings, drags when Gal Gadot attempts a camp performance with her limited range, and sinks whenever those atrocious CGI dwarves show up. When you take away the politics and culture war context, it’s by-the-numbers stuff. Shocked Marc Webb directed this, barely felt his or Greta Gerwig’s (who did a draft) presence.
