A Real Pain 2024
What do we have to be so upset about? Flow 2024
I looove animalsย
Really heavy thematic elements touched on in a beautiful and easily digestible film. Incredibly animated, the water especially is stunning.ย
Nature and life are cruel and rewarding. We canโt get through it without the connections that we make with others. The most precious relationships and experiences also result in the most devastating losses. Balance is intertwined in the intricate threads of our lives.

Charles was so good in this. I couldnโt believe how good he was. Absolutely stole the show. I could feel every discomfort so vividly. The hot dankness of a late spring-early summer in Georgia was so palpable. The slighted family members. The letter. The realizations and clarity coupled with the metamorphosis of a butterfly. Loved it.ย

Anora 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Deeply emotional and beautiful. There are some cavernous, deep in your gut feelings that are being expanded on in this film. A whirlwind romance and a painful, lonely heartbreak. The final scene exposing how detached Anora is from real, tangible intimacy. I loved it and canโt wait to talk to Brandon at work about it.
