this movie was so confusing at first and it started to get a little boring but once i got to the 1 hour ish mark the whole movie started to make sense. i read more explanations with multiple different opinions about the ending and the symbolism etc, and i think the movie is truly a beautiful story, not to mention the amazing acting in the film and the terrifying puppet. not only is it a horror movie with a disgusting puppet, it covers the childhood trauma of phillip with beautiful and poetic symbolism.
