Brilliantly devised, 'The Conversation' allows us a chilling look into the psyche of Harry Caul, an expert wire-tapper and surveillance technician. Not a minute of this nearly two hour film was in excess, as the slow reveal of information allows us to understand the plot, in all its twists and turns, at the exact moment Harry does. With a mental breakdown reminiscent of Patrick Bateman's, we lose our grip on reality alongside Harry, the gravity of his decisions tormenting us…
