Twin Peaks: The Return 2017
After you successfully watch twin peaks you feel like you’re on a higher moral ground...not in a pretentious way but in the way that you feel like you came out of a really insightful class or a long and cathartic meditation (not after the last episode though, you have to wait a few weeks and allow yourself reflect on the show as a whole before you can feel the ~effects~).

really tumblr. it rains a lot in shanghai i guess. so melancholy--grimy but w sparkles and neon. lou ye is being one of those sneaky narrators that plays with your mind. sometimes i get annoyed when I am confused bc i feel like its just me but i think i could tell with this movie that it was a purposefully blurry plot/timeline and just like the muddy suzhou river. very captivating
