This movie was truly unbelievable. I went in with no expectations other than wanting to watch it before I went to see Mr Mescal in theatres.
Crazy good in pretty much every aspect for me. The acting was mad good. Great cast. Joaquin Phoenix so yucky in this but he did it so well. I am glad to know Russell Crowe as more than Javert in Les Mis bc we all know that was a fever dream. 9.5/10 would watch again. Looking forward to number 2 but have no idea how/if it will measure up.

Going into it the only thing I solidly knew about it was that Colman Domingo is in it and I like him from his role in Euphoria (dodgy show but he was a very valuable part of it).
