this film obviously has its strengths, but it is so troubling how casually it normalizes sex with a child brained woman? and it suggests her path to liberation is through extensive sexual encounters? also, all this sex and still the lack of acknowledgment of menstruation… it is disappointing and unsettling how easily this is all ignored (and is clearly written by a man). mary shelley is turning in her grave
