it has taken me months to write this review but here we go.
- the musical theatre child in me cried the second who mourns the wicked began. wicked was the first musical i ever saw on broadway, and it became my whole life. popular was MY SONGGG.
- i do believe this was as perfect of an adaptation that we could have received. i think it utilized the possibility of film as a medium well while keeping the heart…

I actually thoroughly enjoyed this. Timothee Chalamet’s performance was undeniable. He put in the work and it shows. I honestly appreciate that this just felt like a good, well rounded film that would have dominated in like 2018. Some moments dragged on a bit, but that’s to be expected. Monica Barbaro really solidified herself as a new force in the industry with this one. I left just wanting a bit more from this film. Some more grit or something

i mean what a watch. the choreography? bodied. the soundtrack? devoured. i would cast a spell on ben too no shame. dove cameron singing “only” is literally a masterpiece. she is musically theatre trained and you can tell. those pipes were piping. the CGI needs a little help and with that disney budget i expected something more but you win some you lose some. rotten to the core will forever be my hype song and i stand by that.
