So much style, so much substance.
I think out of all of Wes Anderson’s movies, this is the one with the best character work. Great character work for not only the core main characters, but there’s ample development and depth with a few other people who aren’t in the center spotlight.
Weirdly enough, for being his first true “Wes Andersony” film, this one will almost be the most “Wes Andersony”. I guess it’s because everything here is so iconic and memorable. Other films from his catalog have similar elements of quirk and style, but this one just knocks it out of the park every time.
