so many film bros will talk about this movie for years to come. It’s artsy but in a bite-sized, consumable for the masses way. The .5 star is for the fact that the running time is nearly four hours depending on how long your theatre plays the intermission, and i don’t care what anyone says, movies shouldn’t be that long. Cinematography was beautiful. I loved the confusion of the opening scene. The characters were great except Joe Alwyns character he was very one dimensional.

Dune 2021
editing my original review because after seeing part two i understand how important it was to build this world through part one. I still don’t think it had to be 3hrs long. however, the attention to detail is what made this movie. (so maybe it did idk?) everything from the cinematography to the costume design was thought out and executed perfectly.
