The Virgin Suicides 1999
This is probably the first time I’ve hated a book but really liked it’s movie… a dialogue on the complex, depressing, romanticized experience of being a teenage girl, executed with just enough irony to justify the centralization of the male gaze. Well done, very sad.

Sydney Sweeney was NOT the right actress for this role! Actually, why were all the actors so bad? This movie is NOT the romcom of our generation! Also, if my sister ruined my wedding over a hookup I would not be so chill. Still fun to watch though!!
