Nymphomaniac: Vol. II 2013
Yay another film where women are beaten and sexually abused, random lesbian action and then a good dose of good old mansplaining where a man who has known her for 4 hours explains her her entire psyche and why she is the way she is:)))) Let alone the racism (fetishisation of black men, and a white expert of “african languages”?? whatever that means considering there’s more than 1500 of them).
This film stinks of male gaze and made me think what’s the point other than shock value. While I quite liked part 1 i found the balance between art and disgust quite off in part 2.Translated from by

Isle of Dogs 2018
Expected better from Wes Anderson. Extremely orientalistic film featuring a white saviour (honestly laughed at the fact the white american girl is teaching others about corruption), furthermore she is a high school senior and yet openly has a crush on a 12 year old (??). Also the whole “I’m a sexy female dog - with curves and sexy hair???- and that’s my only personality trait and then i become a mother and never speak another word” was so boring and passé.
It’s undeniably a gorgeous film, too bad it was ruined by the extortionate amounts of americanism
