The Vanishing Prairie is a charming documentary that wonderfully encompasses the fantastical beauty of early Walt Disney productions. The photography and footage used in the film is beautiful and vibrant, and captures various unique shots of the animals featured that not only make for a visually interesting viewing experience but also give a better view at some of these creatures that would not be able to get otherwise. Festen is a really unique film that utilizes it's amateur-like style of filmmaking to create a comedically disturbing and raw story that has this sense of realism to it. The handheld motions of the camera make it feel like a home video, and the fact that it takes place at a family gathering also enhances that feeling.
