  really really good setup. and i really appreciate the references to mythology, alchemy, and the borrowed references to dante’s inferno. super clever. 
  though, i felt the jump scares to be a little cheap and i wish they would’ve gone more in depth with what the “monsters” represented (i.e. satan, etc).

  once you hit about an hour and a half into the film.... the shit hits the fan and that’s when this film gets to the absolute beauty of it all. 
  beautiful and amazing shots. 
  though i think this is one of the things you have to watch multiple times to truly see everything there is to see. 
  10/10 would not recommend watching with any family members.
