  The Professional, or Léon as it’s called internationally, is a favorite of mine. I’ve yet to see the international version, but I’m sure I’ve seen the US release seven times at least. Gary Oldman is incredible (as he usually is) as a corrupt and unhinged DEA agent, and Jean Reno, as Léon, is the most likable Italian hitman you’ll ever see.   Spunky low-budget Interstellar.

  Disturbing, creepy, and brutal scenes intermix with lovingly tender and existential moments to create a film with plenty to like but a lot to offend most sensibilities. Most especially, the inordinate amount of jizz. Seriously. One scene in particular shows a half naked woman so covered in semen you’d have thought she was recovering from a gang-rape/bukkake sequence on a porn set, with no explanation for how or why. Oh, and the fuck-box. Why? Such non-sequiturs added…
