Mysterious Skin 2004
Such an excellent portrayal of the harsh realities some face when young. From Brian’s scattered memories being provoked during odd instances, he can’t truly remember but he subconsciously knows something wasn’t right.
Neil and Brian on the couch during the last scene; brian is finally made aware of what truly happened but neither of them will ever get the closure they truly wanted nor what they intended to their whole lives.
Araki does such a good job telling a delicate story of two young boys that suffered immensely.
