Hoop Dreams 1994
This was one of the rare occasions when a movie felt twice as long as it was because it was so good. Sometimes, it was almost too intimate a glimpse into these families' lives. I felt so many emotions for everyone involved. It was also fun to get such a raw look at Chicago in the late 80s and early 90s. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a documentary like this one.
