It the same amount of content of a Black Mirror episode with double the runtime, so the plot feels a bit watered down at some points.
All in all, it is not a bad movie, but I think that some things about how the companions work could have been explained with environmental storytelling, but that's more of a personal preference.
Loved it up to the intermission, but I think that the plot from that point gets a bit unnecessarily convoluted, maybe thry tried to cram too many topics and themes in the latter half of the movie: the relationship between Laszlo and Erszebet, Laszlo's drug addiction, Zsofia plot with Harry Lee (which seems to almost disappear after the scene in the lake)... Maybe some of these ideas could have been scraped in order to better expand upon the remaining ones.
You know the Alien film is going to be lit when the company is the bad guy in the end.
