Boy 2010
this film offers a charming exploration of childhood imagination and reality, drawing a blurry and tender line between the two worlds. while the parallels between them are enchanting, the film seemed a bit long to me, causing the narrative to feel slow around the one-hour mark. however, i find the protagonist’s arc compelling, and the secondary characters give depth and meaning to the increasingly saddening and desperating narrative.
