The Princess and the Frog 2009
My religon class decided Disney gets an F for its portrayal of Vodou in this film. There’s a clear evil/ Voodoo vs good/ Protestant message. My prof noted that it is the best popular portrayal of Vodou and Voodoo in media but I find that too generous of a description. Clearly Voodoo is a substitute for the devil for secular masses.
