Miller's Girl was NOT what i was expecting. I went into it expecting a campy, erotic thriller about an innapropriate illicit affair between a teacher and student, and came out shellshocked. Miller's Girl is pretentious, it aims too high, it tries desperately to be something it isn't, it is "overreaching without ambition", exactly what Miller is accused of doing with his writing.
