What is this genre of film? Danny DeVito neo-noir crime comedy farce? Whatever it is, I’m a little obsessed.
Everyone in this movie is really, really mean. I loved how hapless and pathetic Casey Affleck was. Not all the jokes landed, but the ones that did landed especially hard. Ruthless People is a bit funnier, but Drowning Mona is twice as slimy, so I have to give props.
