Prisoner of Azkaban is easily the best film in the series. The writers really hit the marks when it comes to getting the key story marks. The time travel was astonishingly well done in a way that anyone could understand and be wowed by the detail put in. The effects look stunning and the movie is certainly its own creation, showing character growth and differences from the previous ones. some parts of the movie, chiefly the growth of Sirius Black, are unexplained or under developed, but overall it makes a very entertaining and full package movie.

Following up the first movie, chamber of secrets is disappointing in its characterization and entertainment. The 3 main characters have almost no progression, all new things come from outside of them. There are characters that are done well; Lockhart is exceptional in pushing the plot and being the trickster. Hagrid's advancement is impactful, and gave us a fair bit of enjoyment. Reviewing the movie standalone, it gives a great introduction to the world of Harry Potter. It gives a great backing behind each of the main characters and instantly makes us love them. The villans are brought up well, with a good introduction to Voldemort, while keeping enough of his personality to bring up in later movies. It also gives enough of a light onto other side characters which show up more in later movies that those appearances make sense. As…
