Oasis 2002
Usually I can understand and appreciate when a film purposely tries to get under your skin to evoke an emotion but oasis? 2 hours of the most uncomfortable and twisted representation of romance. Lee Chang-dong….put the pencil down we don’t need you in the studio let’s run it back and retire. The characters….the plot…everything just lacked a direction…it felt like the entire film was circular and at the end we had ended up exactly where we started.
