We've come far enough as a society that "ooh, Protestant Satan scary" is neither novel nor compelling on its own. It's downright impressive that even Nic Cage killing it AGAIN (shout-out Pig) doesn't make it worthwhile. If a film requires a long voiceover at the end to make the plot scrutable, it's probably not worth the cost of production.
